before new cars are ordered, why arent old cars being fixed?? at least they could restore some older cars to be kept in back stock for when things go wrong. what a mess
I think there should be two tracks from Schenectady to Niagara Falls. They just built a new station in Niagara Falls.
It doesn't matter whether the freight companies or Amtrak does the work. Maybe they could split the cost.
It would make travel easier and faster for people.

Do they still use the old locomotives (AEM-7) after they have been replaced? Are they kept in a yard as backups? Are they sold to other railroads? Are they used for parts? Or do they get scrapped?
