I want to go from ATL to WAS by train but not until there is a dining car. Everyday I pass the Amtrak station on the interstate and look to see if there is a dining car. Everyday I am disappointed. ☹️

There is a coach car that is heavily graffitied that has been set out on the siding at the Atlanta (Brookwood) station. First time in many years I have seen them set out a car in Atlanta. For that matter, I have never seen an Amtrak car so heavily graffitied. Sorry I don't have a pic.

The Crescent always seems to be in need of a bath. The train seems to never be washed. I see either the 19 or 20 almost everyday and the train sets are dirty. Isn't there a train wash somewhere that the Crescent has access to?

I live near the Brookwood station in Atlanta. Every time I see the Crescent when I drive by on the interstate, I look for the dining car. I came here to see if there was any news and from what I am reading, it does not look good.

Sometimes the attendant on the Crescent will tell you that the H rooms are unavailable south of Atlanta just so they can spread out in there for a few hours. Or, one of the other train crew will take the room.
