I don't remember this working for a daily train - at least the last time I did it, the layover had to be LESS THAN 24 hours, so it would only work on trips in corridors where there was more than one train a day.

Regionals 152 and 153 will not operate effective 3/24. These are not commission hour trains, they're weekend morning service. I wonder why they're affected and not others; after all NYP work on weekends is consistent across the daytime hours and so is the commuter rail schedule.

This is the reverse of what you are probably thinking. Reno Amtrak is now a station in Greyhound's reservation system, and it appears that you can book the Zephyr for travel between RNO and SLC (including Elko/Winnemucca) like any other Greyhound-ticketed third party carrier.
