Their new site is a disaster. If you go to do a job search it's just a mismatched cluster of all the jobs all together. Search one location and you'll get jobs for other locations thrown in as well. They asked for a hard date where you choose a date on a calender. And I applied for the same job but in two different locations. I honestly don't expect to hear anything back from them based on what I have heard in the past with people applying and then all of a sudden they hear back 5 years...

So I applied to a few positions and on the application they asked when I can start. So I put the date for 2 and half weeks in advanced thinking I would hear back from them within a few days or so and that would leave enough time to give my current employer my 2 weeks notice if I get hired. Well...

On paper flying *might* look safer, but if something were to happen id rather be on land than falling 40,000 feet out of the sky. That's why I choose to take Amtrak rather than flying.

Thanks for the info. I would prefer Seattle so I'm going to wait until a spot opens up. Sounds like the crew bases are LA, Chicago, Seattle, NY, and Lorton VA for the auto train? Those are the only ones that I've seen come up in my research I've been doing.

Thank you very much for the reply! When you say correct vision, do you mean like in terms of sight or color vision? The reason I ask is because I'm colorblind. I wear glasses so my vision is perfect, but I can't pass a colorblind test to save my life. Also Do you know which crews are based out...
