Hi Folks,
Not done much actual train riding recently... been engaged in plans for my trip to India this autumn.
Deciding I needed a day out, I booked my train tickets to York, for a visit to the National Rail Museum.
I found that by buying two separate tickets I could save a few pounds... Nottingham to Leeds, and then Leeds to York.
Both trains were basic DMU types, but were not crowded and everything was fine.
I left Nottingham at about 9 am, and arrived back again at 9 pm.
I had a quick look at York Minster while I was there, but it didn't match the train museum.
I hope the photo's will be of interest: https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.10153474844229120.1073741862.682004119&type=1&l=7b2bc42a56
Cheers,
Eddie.
