What does this mean for Amtrak? Does this mean that Amtrak is going to maximize its resources? If so, this would be great!
WOW is that a bunch of double talk and geek speak. I worked for Accenture for 8+years in the accounting outsource business. But mostly they are an information systems specialist type of consulting firm. Amtrak has been critized often about it's lack of good controls and accounting practices. But, I really don't know how you enterpret 'enterprise resource planning solutions' or 'develop a blueprint for Amtrak's Strategic Asset Management initiative. But I see they are going to help 'Amtrak increase productivity and better leverage resources and infrastructure'. Generally what Accenture does is sell this snake oil to top management with slick presentations and lots of lunches, dinners and drinks. Once you sign on the dotted line then all the pros disapear and lots of young inexperienced and generally naive little college students show up to do the work and they never leave. Good luck Amtrak, you will need it.
