AMTRAK's latest press release on the return of Acela Express service is here.

I did a quick analysis of the schedule as of next week, and came up with the following:

Acela Express is not back to its full strength yet, particularly on weekdays north of New York.

On weekdays between Washington and New York, all but one round trip have Acela Express equipment. The only trains that have Metroliners are 2108 northbound and 2129 southbound. Look for Acelas on this segment of the Corridor to be slightly renumbered once more service is extended to Boston.

On weekdays between New York and Boston, there are no Metroliners operating. However, the full complement of Acela round trips has not yet been restored. There are currently 3 Acela Express round trips on this segment; there should be 9 round trips on weekdays. Many of the Washington-New York Acela Express trains still need to be extended to Boston and renumbered.

Train 2150, a Washington-New York-Boston train, was supposed to have been eliminated with the April schedule change. Chances are that when full Boston service is restored, this train will go off the schedule again.

Trains 2190 and 2193, which operate on weekdays solely between New York and Boston, have not yet returned to the schedule either.

On weekends, Acela Express appears to be at full strength, at the level it was operating pre-brake problem. There is one Sunday northbound Metroliner 2230 on the schedule; this was supposed to be a Regional (#126) on the timetable. It is offset southbound by a Regional #121 that is operating with Metroliner equipment. So all Acela Express service on weekends has been restored.

This is all best illustrated on the updated By The Numbers page.
