DESIGNED TO ASSIST CONSUMERS AND TRAVEL AGENTS IN PLANNING

THEIR TRAVEL ONBOARD AMTRAK.  THE BROCHURE HAS BEEN RE-

DESIGNED WITH A FOCUS ON THE ONBOARD EXPERIENCE.  CONSUMER

PHOTO SHOOT WAS CONDUCTED ON BOTH AMTRAK SUPERLINER AND

VIEWLINER EQUIPMENT AND THE IMAGES OBTAINED ARE DISPLAYED

THROUGHOUT THE BROCHURE.

THE NEWLY DESIGNED AMTRAK AMERICA TRAVEL GUIDE INCLUDES AN

AMTRAK SYSTEM MAP, HOW TO RIDE A TRAIN, GLOSSARY OF TRAIN

TERMS, THE ANATOMY OF A TRAIN, AND DINING ON THE TRAIN.  IT

ALSO INCLUDES INFORMATION ON HOW TO PLAN A TRIP, HOW TO BOOK,

FARE INFORMATION, RAIL PASSES AND DISCOUNTS.  THE AMTRAK

TRAIN ROUTES ARE FEATURED BY REGION - EAST, SOUTHEAST, MIDWEST,

AND WEST.  TRAIN ROUTES INCLUDE ROUTE MAPS, HIGHLIGHTS ALONG

THE ROUTE AND ONBOARD ACCOMMODATIONS AND SERVICES.  IN

ADDITION, THE BROCHURE FEATURES AMTRAK GUEST REWARDS, THE

AMTRAK STORE, AND GENERAL TRAVEL INFORMATION.

A SUPPLY OF THE AMTRAK AMERICA BROCHURES WAS SHIPPED TO ALL

AMTRAK STATIONS ON TUESDAY, JUNE 28; PLEASE WAIT TO RECEIVE

YOUR INITIAL SHIPMENT BEFORE PLACING ORDERS.  SUPPLIES FOR

THE RESERVATION CALL CENTERS, AMTRAK TRAVEL AGENCY SALES

CENTER, AND MARKETING STAFF AND CORPORATE COMMUNICATIONS

WAS SHIPPED ON JUNE 29.

I'm glad to see this guide return to the shelves of stations, certainly good to be able to inform people about the amenities/accomodations/route of the Amtrak system. Currently (as of a few minutes ago) it's not yet available to order through the order pubs page of Amtrak's website, but I'll be checking frequently to make the order.

Awesome. I'll have to go down to the station tonight, and see if they have any. Too bad it doesn't open until midnight.

Did this ever show up? I think there is a reference to it in the Fall/Winter 2007 Timetable, but I don't see it offered at the Publication page at www.amtrak.com .

yes. i had to talk with a rep on the phone to have it sent, but the 'amtrak america' brochure for 2007-2008 is out. i don't really see any noticeable difference between this year's and its predecessor, though. most of the photos are recycled from the 2006-2007 version.
