A nitpick:
A few Pullman cars made it into phase 3 too. These would be 11 Bedroom UP sleepers of the Star and Placid series, as well as 3 Milwaukee road full length domes, which were purchased second hand in the late 80s-early 90s. Although you could make the argument that they weren't Amtrak cars, the original Piedmont fleet was also painted in phase 3, Which consisted of a number of ex CNW coaches and another Milwaukee full dome.

Also, a bunch of ATSF ACF Stainless baggage cars made it into the heritage program, a number of which are still active.
 
Hmmm. I thought I had read that the last ACF baggage car was retired a couple of years ago. It'll all be moot soon...
