What is the status of Amtrak metroliner cars 44550 to 44557 that at one time operated on the Michigan services?

Some are scrapped, Some are stored inactive, and one is now the new Catenary Geometry car!

What is the status of Amtrak metroliner cars 44550 to 44557 that at one time operated on the Michigan services?

According to David Warner's Amtrak by the Numbers 44550 through 44554 were stored dead - 44552 in 1994 and the rest in 2005. 44555 - 44557 were retired in 2003 (all three were involved in a wreck in 1997). Then according to OTOL 44553 was recently converted to Catenary Car 10005. Originally these cars were 8xx series Metroliner cars that were converted to cabless Coaches funded by the State of Michigan in 1991.
