Good Evening, List Members,

On Wednesday, the day before Thanksgiving, 2007, I went to the Santa Barbara Amtrak station to create a pictorial history of the mid-day train and bus arrivals and departures.

The Santa Barbara station was originally built by the SP many decades ago. Several years ago it was totally restored and refurbished. Today it stands as one of the major transportation hubs in the area.

The number of passengers that pass through this facility nowadays far exceeds the number that the SP transported during its heyday, especially on the day before Thanksgiving.
