Amtrak waiving change fees extended to February 2023

According to Amtrak - How to Change Your Reservation the waiving of change fees has now been extended until February 28, 2023 (until recently it was valid for reservations until October 31, 2022).

I really hope this will stay, even if instead of making it a general policy they keep extending it by several months whenever it's about to expire.

Probably watching what the airlines are doing and gun-shy about reinstituting all of Richard Anderson's onereous rules, like 25% penalty on sleepers less than 121 days in the future, clearly designed to inhibit reservations at a time he was stating his goal was to kill 5 - 10 LD trains.
