As reported on Trainorders, there will be a 7th roundtrip added between Bakersfield and Stockton, with the train continuing on to Oakland. This makes a total of 5 round trips between Oakland and Bakersfield, and there are 2 between Sacramento and Bakersfield.

Any idea on times? That bus transfer between Stockton and San Francisco at midnight is really unpleasant. A later option to the Bay would be great.

I didn't compare current schedules to future schedules, but if you search on amtrak.com for Bakersfield-Oakland trains in July, 5 through-train options show up.

There seems to be a reluctance on the part Amtrak to publish a timetable well in advance of its implementation. That situation applies here, as well.
