The next morning (April 30) I had a chance to get some pics on the cell phone during our stop in Whitefish MT.
It also gave me a chance to chat with the guy shown on the platform who oversees the movement of the car
(lucky him). A woman on board is a part of the staff. She was seen later in the day serving lunch to an elderly
couple during our stop in Havre MT.
The car is based in and owned by Kennebec Financial of San Diego. The car was hooked up to the CS in LAX
and taken to PDX where it joined our EB to CHI. Two days after getting off in MSP, somebody posted on another
RR forum the car was sighted w/b on the CZ. The cost of making this loop must have been huge.
The Cyrus P. Holliday #800039 was built in 1921 for the president of the Soo Line. Googling Cyrus notes he
founded Topeka KS as well as a RR.
