Hi, I received this email, and not sure if it affects our departure on the #6 CA Zephyr tomorrow morning (Sat) out of Emeryville. Can someone help me figure out if our train departure will be delayed? Thanks in advance!

Train: 6
Origin Date: 08/08/2014
Status: Overdue at Emeryville, CA (EMY). Scheduled time is 910A.

The "overdue" message means that the train hasn't been reported into Amtrak's reservation system for an hour beyond when it should have been. It can simply be a case of late reporting, or it can mean that the train is actually late. Try Amtrak's Track-A-Train.

It didn't leave EMY until 1016A. That would've triggered an "overdue" Alert at 1010A.

However, reading the Alert a little closer, the message is for the Aug. 8 departure. It has nothing to do with tomorrow's train.

#5 was 5 hrs late into emy on the 7th, which might have contributed to a late eastbound departure on the 8th. #5 was 4 hrs late into emy on the 8th, so I don't expect #6 to be delayed out of emy on the 9th.
