In response to several requests following the derailment of 501, I've made the train status page a lot more prominent. Unfortunately, that means the home page is no longer directly the map, so update your bookmarks accordingly if that's all you care for.

In addition, I've added a new "station status" page that shows everything heading to a given location, as well as those which have past. Unfortunately, I don't see trains until 15 minutes before their scheduled departure time, so it's of limited utility at terminals.

Note that the data is known to be imperfect, and there are several annoying bugs in the feed that are known to occur, usually during non-standard operating conditions. I will try to clean them up by hand after the trains complete their runs, but it's impossible to do so in real time.

Cool. I like the station status. When I go for walks down by the Newark, DE station I like to know if/what trains might pass me during my walk. Now, assuming I remember this website when the weather gets warms enough for walks, I can check the status for WIL to get an idea. Thanks!

I LOVE the station page, especially because it shows a larger map of the area. The weather report is nice too.

WOW this an incredible update! Thank you so much! The data

Edit: Do you mean you can't see the trains until 15 minutes before their scheduled departure time from their origin point?

thanks, WOW, the weather is better than my local guy. real nice job.
I also think the weather is a nice addition. What is the source for the weather? I'm just curious as weather is another interest of mine and it does not seem to necessarily correspond to the Weather Channel or Accuweather. While a few miles may not seem like much, it can make a big difference in temperature, especially in an urban or hilly area or when a large body of water is nearby.
