Bellingham, WA. -- Some Questions

May 2012 we will be arriving from Vancouver into Bellingham for 3 days. We have never been to Bellingham before -- so any info on: Amtrak station / hotels or motels / and ease of car rentals would be appreciated. I am currently reading through tripadvisor.com -- any suggestions on hotels/motels that pick up and drop off at Amtrak would also help. We have been through the San Juan Islands before, so any other ideas of must do's would also be great! We will be catching the train to Seattle after our visit.
