Budget for 2005

Have you heard anything in the White House about allocating $$$ to Amtrak for late 2004 to mid 2005 budget? It has been really quiet about it.

WH proposes $900 million. Amtrak wants $1.8 billion. Congress will probably give around $1.2 to $1.3 billion. Amtrak's board approved a budget that assumes a $1.5 billion appropriation.

Into FY05 already, and almost everything's running on a continuing resolution (which goes through November 20).
