Of course Amtrak will cross-subsidize into a total F&B figure. I'm sure they hated the $20 hamburger (or whatever was the damn number).

I'm fairly sure that was another fake number based on overhead/fixed cost allocation.
(Lying by use of division: we have one employee who costs $100,000/year. If he sells 10,000 hamburgers per year, they're "$10 hamburgers" but if he sells 1,000,000 hamburgers per year they're "10 cent hamburgers". The resulting numbers are utterly meaningless.)
