For those of you that have not heard, a 6.0 earthquake hit central California at 10:15 AM PDT.
According to Amtrak's website, the southbound Coast Starlight train # 11 has been severely delayed.
The train was scheduled to depart San Jose at 10:57 AM. It actually departed at 11:55 AM, 58 minutes late. The scheduled arrival time in San Luis Obispo was 3:07 PM. The estimated arrival time is 10:45 PM, 7 hours and 38 minutes late.
I'm really glad that I was not on that train.
The northbound Amtrak Pacific Surfliner departed Santa Barbara on time at 5:33 PM. It is scheduled to arrive in San Luis Obispo at 8:30 PM. The estimated time of arrival is 8:37 PM, 7 minutes late.
