Changing a reservation

We have already booked a trip using points from CLE - CHI, which is scheduled to arrive in Chicago at 845am. We also booked a trip using cash from CHI - SAS which is scheduled to depart at 145pm, on the same day. My question, is there a way to link these 2 trips together just in case the first leg runs late? When we first booked, we were only going to Chicago. Then a week later we decided to go on to San Antonio. Is there anything we can do now? Thanks in advance.

You can't link them, but an Amtrak agent can. Call the AGR phone number.
