Checking luggage in Emeryville (EMY)

We are leaving on the CZ (#6) from Emeryville to Chicago, then will transfer to the CL (#30) from Chicago to Washington DC.

We will have a few small carry-on items (backpack, purse, etc.) but I want to check a large suitcase through to Washington DC so I don't have to deal with it in Chicago.

I know there are no red caps at the Emeryville station - where do I go to check the luggage?

(The only ride I've done at Emeryville was on a commuter train so I didn't look around for luggage services.)

You check them @ the ticket counter which is behind glass! Emeryville does have carts ( no Red Caps as you said)that will shuttle those that need assistance to and from the train since the Starlight and Zephyr have the ends of the train so far from the Station!
