Coast Starlight #14 (Sept 26)

Just curious if anyone knows why today's #14 still hasn't depart LAX yet? Amtrak.com says estimated departure 3 hours, 35 mins late.

I didn't think to look at yesterday's #11. Since that consist arrived at 4:25AM at 7+ hours late, I probably have my answer.

The last few days have been bad for the CS. Two freight derailments in Oregon -- one on Friday and one on Sunday -- have completely screwed up the schedule. I was on 11(23) which arrived SAC 6 hours late, and 14(24) which arrived SEA an hour and a half late. And there have been other issues as well. The Facebook CS group has been posting details.

My mom was on the #11 that was delayed by the derailment ... super late!
