Coast starlight run on time North out of Emeryville?

Good day,

i have to take the starlight from San Francisco in July. Timetable says leaves Emeryville North 10:04 PM. Instead of taking a 5pm amtrak bus from Sales force plaza in SF, thinking about a later 9:10 PM bus. I'm advised I'd have 20 minutes to spare. suggestions? Does the train going North seem to run on time?

20 minutes to spare? Sure, go for it. All you can do is miss your train!

I believe it usually does pretty well.

The schedule shows a 9:00 Thruway Bus from Salesforce Plaza connecting to the northbound Starlight. This would be a guaranteed connection.

Thanks for pointing this out. working with a travel agent. makes sense to move my bus to that time. 4-5 hours hanging out in the train station seemed a bit long. Should be able to find something to do with that time.

If you can't get on the later bus, there are a number of things to do right around the Emeryville station -- there are a bunch of restaurants, shops, and even a movie theater (in the Bay Street complex).
