Ok, well I am still keeping tabs on #11. Something really strange happened today/tonight. I was monitoring #11 as it was out of Klamith Falls, OR only about 1 1/2 hours late....but by the time it got to Chico, CA it was 13 HOURS late! This is not just UP dispatching this time, my guess is there was a derailment. Does anyone know what actually happend? It is currently 12 1/2 hours late not even into San Jose, CA yet.

Are they learning to take lots of extra food and drink for the passengers since this one is so habitually late?

There was a freight derailment in Tehama up north. Sometimes these things just happen.

Well today’s #11 has UP 5697west on the head end. Apparently some engine trouble up north...she is now about 7 1/2 hours late, headed into Emeryville, CA.
