Hello all,
I'm an avid rail raider since I was a little boy, having traveled all over the united States by train since then. Now that I have my own family we finally embarked on a train trip like I used to go on when I was growing up.
So my question regards a connection that I am a little worried about tonight.
I am currently in Saint Louis, heading to Chicago and then back home to Buffalo.
Our train leaves from St Louis at 3pm, scheduled to reach Chicago at 8:40pm and the LSL leaves Chicago at 9:30PM. I have two kids and this was the only time that really made sense as the other trains left at 6:30am.
It appears the train is mostly on time, but as always, nothing is guaranteed. I'm not sure if this would be considered a "guaranteed connection" if I miss it...does anyone know how Amtrak would handle this if in fact I miss the connection?
