Now we’re informed that the conductor needs to do a calendar inspection. I’ve not heard of that before but it takes about 45 minutes. We’re about 10 minutes beyond Slidell and won’t be to New Orleans until between 1:00 and 1:30.
Update: We arrived 1:20. Less than an hour late I’m ready to hit the sheets at my hotel, then tomorrow I’ll be boarding the CONO. Not a worry in the world since I quickly found an Uber driver to take me to my lodging for the night. I was a little nervous about not finding one this late but it dawned on me, I’m in New Orleans. LOL
