How is the parking at the station in Dearborn, MI? I will be taking the Wolverine from there to Chicago in August and was wondering if it is safe to leave my car there for a couple of days.

Extremely safe. The Amtrak station shares the parking lot with the Dearborn police station.

It's in a really nice area, kind of wooded and scenic train-side and then a big parking lot with a busy road on the other side. I wouldn't mind leaving my car there.

The station is nice too. Lots of comfy chairs, and it's kind of small, so the desk attendant can see everything at once.

You'll see a lot of cities, colleges, farmland, Lake Michigan (near Michigan City), and woods. It's pretty nice. :)

Yes, Engineer is right. In addition you'll see, as the train nears Chicago, plenty of industrial landscape close up to the tracks. Abandoned and otherwise. I actually like it.
