The Central Florida Rail Corridor (CFRC), where SunRail commuter trains will begin operations in 2014, has assumed control of all train dispatching functions on the CFRC from DeLand to Poinciana (just south of Kissimmee) effective today.

Within the corridor, Amtrak as well as the Florida Central RR and CSX are now handled by the CFRC Dispatcher located in the CFRC Operations Control Center in Sanford.

Subtler question: does this include the wye and downtown industrial trackage in DeLand? I would assume it would have to, but you never know...

Most industrial trackage and spurs in the entire corridor, including the DeLand Wye and Taft Yard, remain CSX property. The state purchased basically the main line right of way and everything upon it and near it with exceptions for existing freight customers or what wasn't needed for SunRail operations or maintenance. What industrial business that remains after CSX moves the intermodal and automobile facilities to Winter Haven will continue to be worked by CSX or Florida Central local freights based out of their respective terminals in Orlando... on the off hours of commuter operations.
