On Wednesday, November 23 I rode #301 to Joliet (no Dome)... explored around the Joliet station... and caught #300 back home (with the Dome). To my surprise, CNN was aboard and broadcasting live from the Great Dome about Thanksgiving Travel. Once they heard (and thought I was nuts) for riding both #51 Domes from WAS-CHI and going to JOL just to ride the Dome back into Chicago, they interviewed me. I am going to try and get that clip up on YouTube over the next week and will post that here, but for now, the pictures:

And then on Saturday, November 26, I rode the full round-trip from Chicago to St Louis in the #10031 dome on Lincoln Service #303 and #306. Yes, a full 14 hours in the Dome... which was great. What surprised me was how few people there were in the Dome -- I thought being a Saturday it would be backed with kids and railfans, etc. But it wasn't. There were me and 3 other railfans doing the #303/306 turn... and several other railfans (like Jim G from the forum) who rode for smaller distances... and then maybe 5-15 people at a time who just stumbled across the Dome because they were looking for the cafe car.
