Empire Line Delays Continue

Repairs to Spuyten Duyvil Bridge Being Made

Overnight damage to the Spuyten Duyvil Rail Bridge located in Manhattan continues to impact Empire Line service between New York City and Croton Harmon, New York.

Amtrak personnel continue to work to make the necessary repairs to the span, however we do not have an estimate for full restoration of service at this time.

Amtrak and Metro-North Railroad have coordinated a rail bridge between Grand Central Station in New York City and the Croton Harmon station, with alternate bus transportation also being provided between Grand Central and New York Penn Station.

Metro-North will cross honor Amtrak travel between Croton Harmon and Grand Central until repairs on the bridge are completed. Amtrak passengers with confirmed reservations will also have the option of traveling directly to the Croton Harmon station to continue their travel.

Amtrak regrets any inconvenience. This information is correct as of the above time and date. Information is subject to change as conditions warrant. Passengers are encouraged to call 800-USA-RAIL or visit Amtrak.com for schedule information and train status updates.
