First Class Conference Car @ Penn Station NYC

Caught sight of this unusual car at Penn Station on Weds eve. Was told by a redcap it was used by a sports team. I’ve never seen an Amfleet car with private sitting cabins. Catering also looked pretty great, although hardly touched.

Anyone know more about these?

It's a former Metroliner car converted to a conference car. It's available for rental.

I believe that the NY Rangers hockey team travels by train to their Boston, Washington and Philadelphia games. The station is below Madison Square Garden and is a very convenient place for the team to depart.

Quite a few sports teams rent a three car train within the NEC.
