Suicidal jeep driver, two Metrolink trains, one parked MOW train. 10 dead so far. Looks like the front end of a pusher-engine Metrolink train hit a jeep, derailed, jacknifed partially into another Metrolink going the other way, and also into a parked UP MOW train. From the damage and destruction to the equipment it's amazing there weren't more dead. The engine from the MOW train ended up on it's side in (I think) a Costco parking lot that was beside the tracks. . One wonders if the collision with the jeep would have derailed the train had the engine been on the front of the train instead of on the rear. LA Ch 7 ABC had a satellite remote on C-Band with live coverage. The jeep driver changed his mind but couldn't get his jeep off the tracks and jumped off in time.
