That's just not true Joe. I cannot tell you how many times I've been on the ground in Orlando and watched the forklift take bogies out of the lone baggage car, often times creating a 5 minute delay since the bags have to be cleared first.
Bat51, He stated a possible fact! But maybe on those occasions where the mail was in the baggage car, there wasn't enough mail to warrant a whole mail car operating for that trip! From what I understand, eliminating a car from the consist saves quite a deal of money. For the record, I have seen mail in baggage car because the mail car(s) were already full!battalion51 said:
