There aren’t any cafes with coach seats. They all either have tables on both sides, or have tables on one side, and 2+1 seating on the other.

I sort of remember something like that arrangement many moons ago, maybe someone else can verify what I'm thinking of, but haven't seen anything of the sort in quite a while.....

You're thinking of the old 53 seat café configuration and the 33 Metro-Club configuration.

The 53 seat configuration had a café in the middle and dense seating on both sides. The 33 seater had 2+1 seating in both sides of what became the café area. Previously, these cars were only used for MetroLiner and "regional" first class service.
