Found this site after searching for my upcoming trip..this mornning Christmas Day...on the TE going to Dallas from chicago. Many usefull threads and comments by people. I have rode Amtrak numerous times on different long distance trips and this is my 4th Long Distance Trip, having rode the SWC and the CZ as well as the Lakeshore Limited. Today will be my first time with a sleeper (roomette). I am so looking forward to the trip. Merry Christmas everyone and safe holiday travels.
