Is this good news or bad news?
That remains to be seen, although there are many who won't be sad to see Barbara Richardson go. She was the marketing genius who gave us Acela Express, Acela Regional, and Acela Commuter, which confused the heck out of passengers. Only regular passengers understood the differences, so many many people booked Acela Regionals expecting a nice, new, shiny Acela Express train and were sadly disapointed to find an E60 or Aem-7 hauling a bunch of tired old Amfleets.

I agree that "it remains to be seen."

Any new CEO can come in and change his/her staff(most often do) and then proclaim that they have a team that can tackle the challenges ahead. "The proof will be in the pudding." We may not see anything for a period of months or longer!

I can't wait to see Bruce Richardson's comments on this in the URPA newsletter this week.
