"Coast Daylight" is likely reserved for the resurrection of an actual Coast Daylight service long planned for LA-SLO Surfliners 798-799. There has been much talk about extending them into San Francisco (NOT Oakland).

The schedule is already fairly close to the Daylight's and the train numbers are a dead giveaway. Does anybody think they were assigned those numbers by accident?

Also, a "reverse schedule" companion to the Starlight would traverse 3 states. It isn't just a California train.

Well the east coast has its 'Silver Star', so how about calling this the 'Golden Star'?

Or perhaps 'Pacific Star'?

Well, if they want to generate revenue, they should call it The Hogwarts Express.

I'd buy a ticket on that train.

However there better be a platform 9 3/4 and that train damn well better be fancy like the Hogwarts Express and have butter beer. They can keep the death eaters though. Them thing scare the heck out of me.
