I was in New Orleans on Sunday to visit the 40th Anniversary Train while it was at NOUPT. The station itself currently has several renovations going on in and around it.

The work going on at NOUPT includes:

1) Construction/Renovation of Ticket Counter

2) Magnolia Room Renovation (First-class Lounge)

3) New NORTA streetcar terminal (Next to Greyhound side of building)

The new streetcar line will connect to the Canal Street Line via Loyola/Elk.

I'm pleased to hear they are investing in that facility.

I hear the whole Loyola Avenue corridor is getting a massive makeover.
