New schedule confusion.

I had thought the changes to the Sunset Limied's schedule went into effect Oct. 27 but checking Amtrak's webpage the schedules from San Antonio are the same until Nov.1.

It might have something to do with the fact that the train is tri-weekly versus everyday.

Thats because a trains schedule does not change en-route and since the Sunset is tri-weekly service the new schedule for that train does not go into affect until after 10/27. Though by 11/1 one would think the Sunset would have already gone through San Antonio on the new schedule.

The first trains to experience the new schedule will be P001-28 and P002-29. So 002 Friday in SAS will be the first on the new schedule and 001 arriving tomorrow in SAS.
