NYP Overnight Luggage Storage

I will be heading out east soon and have an overnight in NYP (want to ride the Cardinal back west). I'll be crashing at a friend's place, but would rather store my carry-on baggage overnight at the station and just take a small backpack with me. Do they allow overnight luggage storage?

If you take a backpack full of things you need for a few days you can check the bag you don't need to NYP, and leave it there and retrieve it the following day at no charge. If that makes any sense. Although I don't know if NYP's baggage area is open at 6AM. Or Check it to CHI the day before if they allow it..

NYP does not allow overnight storage AFAIK. Your only choice would be to check it the night before, assuming that the station you're going to has checked baggage.
