Article today in the Cleveland Plain Dealer. ODOT asked Amtrak to do a study to see if ridership has increased within Ohio on Amtrak - and sure enough, it's gone up 14% in the past year! They're using that to try and stymie Kasich before he takes office.

Unfortunately,I think Kasich(R-Wall St) will stand firm.He has declared,time and again,that there is no passenger rail in Ohio's future.
 
He thinks the money is better spent giving it to NS and CSX. :lol:

You know being a governor has got to be easy if all you have to do is ride Obama's coattails and keep a train from running.
