I'm thinking about taking a train from chicago to nyp via pittsburgh. I'm not crazy about having to sit in Pittsburgh almost 3 hours to make the connection to #42. Are there any restaurants nearby to grab a bite to eat at 4-5am?

you know what I dont know anymore. It all most 8 months and I heard the greyhound station move .............it place inside the greyhound station (right across from the pitts station) and it open 24 hours a day .

Like I say I might be wrong on this one. I used to viist pitts all the time and it really not much open that time of morning.

why not go into washington dc and take the metroliners or aclea 2 Ny? U have a better layover and washington dc has a little mini mall

Or maybe the Lakeshore?

Downtown Pittsburgh is a pretty dead place at that time of day. I might suggest taking a nap.
