I Just wanted to see if any of you might know the answer to this. This is regarding the Amtrak owned track from Portage to Kalamazoo. I noticed on tonight's trip that there is at least a couple industries that have sidings currently in use on this section of track. Do any of you guys know who switches these cars at these factories? Is it a freight road, which would most likely be NS? Or does Amtrak use there own MOW crews and locomotives to switch these cars. If it is a freight road, then I would imagine that Amtrak would collect come extra income.
