Most of you probably know this, but a pro-Amtrak letter is circulating the Senate until tomorrow. It is collecting signatures in support for Amtrak receiving its full $1.8 billion for 2005. Below is a list who have already signed. If your senator(s) have not signed please call today or tomorrow, and tell them to. They really will listen to you. Its like having 10,000 people call when you do. So here's the list....Actually I'm just going to post the entire email from NARP......
To NARP Members, July 8, 2004--
"As mentioned in my July 1 e-mail (reprinted below for your convenience),
an Amtrak "full funding" letter is circulating in the Senate. The letter
will remain open at least through tomorrow (Friday). If you have a
senator (or two) who is not on the list below, please ask your
senator(s) to sign. If they have particular respect for anyone on the
list below, you might indicate that so-and-so has already signed. In
some cases (not Illinois!), one senator might be swayed by the fact that
the other senator from his or her state has already signed.

Also, we are keeping a running tally of signers on our website. Visit
