Proposed schedule changes

Hey, any of you guys got any good ideas for possible changes to amtrak's timetable?

I think it would be good if they delayed the start of the empire builder by an hour. that would give passengers 2 hours to connect to the builder in portland from the coast starlight.

also delaying the southwest chief's start out of la would give passengers time to connect to it from the southbound coast starlight.

anybody else have any ideas? (suggestions from anywhere in the amtrak nationwide timetable would be welcomed)

It would be nice if it were that easy. Have you looked all along the line to see what the effect would be on all other connections? Making a train an hour later could cause schedule changes for other trains whick could finially lead to every train running an hour later with no net effect.

I'd like to see the the NB Silver Star leave about an hour earlier from Miami, and the SB counterpart leave JAX about an hour later.
