Hi

my name is Joe new to the site but not new to amtrak I hate to fly but like to travel and between the dates Feb-21 and April 30th i will be making 3 trips.

NLC- RGH AND return RGH-NLC

NLC- STP and return STP- NLC

NLC- RGH and return RGH - NLC

Would a rail pass work for that and which one would I need to purchase I figured the fares and they come to about 615 for the 3 trips.

I just wasn't getting the explanation of how rail passes work.

Thank You

Joe

The way rail passes work is....

They're valid for 180 days from the date of purchase.

Travel must be completed in the time frame of the pass you purchased within that 180 day period.

As an example: if you purchase a 15 day Rail Pass today 2/8/12 it would be valid until 8/6/12.

You can start your travel anytime in that 180 day period but you must finish traveling/using the allotted 8 segments within the 15 consecutive days following your first trip.
