Recording equipment?

Im considering getting something like a GoPro Hero to record the window views. Can one even be operated that long if plugged into an outlet? I know the card is limited to 512GB max. Will it run too long and overheat as a result?

Should be ok. I never shot more than a few minutes at a time without a break. I often used mine with an external battery (USB power bank). At the time, all I had was several 64GB cards which was more than sufficient.

The GoPro Hero 3+ Silver Edition was clamped to a grab iron on our car with GoPro's "Jaws": Flex Clamp". Under the still photo showing the mount is a YouTube link to a 4-part video of the entire 65 mile journey from Skagway to Carcross.

I've used it on Amtrak as well but the windows present challenges (dirty glass and glare).
By the way, time-lapse is fun too...
