Someone I follow on Twitter mentioned that they could only find one day with tickets available between Tucson and LA in the month of July. Does anyone have any idea what's going on? There aren't any Service Alerts posted.

Since this train only runs 3 days a week, and is historically busy during the Summer, along with the pent up demand for Travel, the Short consists that Amtrak is running on most LD Routes( ie 4 Car consists on the Texas Eagle and Cap) makes this, along with the High Bucket Fares, understandable !

Let Amtrak know your unhappiness with this situation!

Spot on, less seats, higher fares. Amtrak could add a third coach from LA-NOL. and still keep the higher yield fares.

And another Sleeper and Coach also, especially LAX-SAS, and on the Texas Eagle SAS-CHI (#21/#421/#22/#422) which currently has only 4 Cars and is running Full most days, with $700+ Roomettes to Chicago due to the Crews occupying several of the Rooms in the 1 Sleeper!( also no Sightseer Lounge and still serving Flex Meals to SleeperPasdengers only!)

Just wild that there isn't even a single seat for a few trains in a row, but that does sound like the most likely cause at the moment.
