I noticed this report of a tornado which touched down in the Jax area around the Amtrak station. I am sure this stems from Bonnie. The report indicates the tornado touched down in the area of New Kings Road and Edgewood Ave. That is the area where the station is located as well as Norfolk Southern's Sampson yard is located. Any of you Jax locals have idea of any damage to either of the four railroads who operate in Jax?

Here is the article if the link works :click here

Word is three cars got knocked over, so doesn't appear there was too much damage.

All I heard was that the cars were tipped, too. Didnt sound like any infastructure damage.

Do you mean railroad cars or automobiles? Freight or passenger cars?

Note: I saw at least one Jacksonville tornado on TV. NBC showed it near a church.....looked really scarey.

Battalion, are you safe where you are, I guess, or you would not be writing to us?
